What should I do? - Frequently Asked Questions about the beggining of the semester

In today’s uncertain situation due to the global pandemic studying abroad may not seem so simple and it raises a lot of questions. We are trying to make it as easy as possible for you to start your studies either online or face to face by answering for some of the most frequently asked questions.

 

1.

First of all, we would like to share some basic information about the current regulations, which might change on daily basis. Please visit the below mentioned website for updates. Also, we suggest you to visit the website of the Hungarian Embassy in your country for further updates.

 

2. 

We have received a lot of questions regarding the international mobility programs. Currently, we are planning a face to face education for all the students who are able to arrive to Hungary. In case you cannot manage to be physically here, you can follow the classes online, although you should contact you home exchange coordinator regarding the scholarship/financial support that you receive from your home university.

According to the Hungarian Government, by our side it is possible to enter Hungary if you are coming from a “yellow” or “red” country. It is also important to know the regulations of your home country and the airlines. Please make sure you are updated.

 

4. 

If you are a Stipendium Scholarship holder you might be worried about your scholarship. As for now that is all we know, but you will receive detailed information from the Stipendium Hungaricum Office very soon. 

 

5. 

During the online Orientation Week you will be able to do all your administrative duties regarding the semester start. It is important to know that the OW will be online for everyone, it is not a matter of choice and the participation is obligatory.

 

6. 

We are constantly working on the most comfortable way of teaching and we are flexible in this matter. Of course, we would like to meet all of you in person as soon as possible, but we are aware that it might not happen in this upcoming semester, therefore we are prepared for the online way of teaching.
