Best Student Award

General Rules of Discounts/Refunds/Scholarships

  • All discounts/refunds/scholarships under this Regulation shall be fixed at one amount per semester.
  • The School’s Committee for Grants and Scholarships (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) shall be responsible for determining those students and applicants receiving discounts/refunds/scholarships based on this Regulation.
  • The School’s Study Department shall inform the student and the Central Study Department about the discounts /refunds/scholarships awarded by the Committee.
  • The student may appeal against the decision of the Committee in accordance with Article 5(2) of the Code of Charges and Benefits of the University of Pécs.
  • The total amount of financial aid awarded to a fee-paying student may not exceed 80% of the semester tuition fee applicable to that student.
  • The Dean has the right to override the financial aid rates and budgets laid down in this Regulation, taking into account the School’s budgetary position.

Best Student Award

Students graduating within the time frame of the curriculum structure proposed in the Student Handbook of the Programme with letter of commendation from the BSc in Business Administration and Management (7 semesters), BSc in Tourism and Catering (8 semesters), MSc in Business Development (4 semesters), and MSc in Management and Leadership (4 semesters) programmes may be eligible for the Best Student Award.

A student may be excluded from the award if he or she received a warning from the Programme Director or the Dean during his or her studies, or against whom a faculty/university ethics procedure has ended with a decision condemning.

Students do not have to apply for the award, it is determined based on previous articles by the Study Department in cooperation with the Programme Directors.

The Best Student Award is associated with a € 1,500 financial reward.

The Scholarship for the best-graduating student entitles the student to a 50% reduction of his/her tuition fee if he/she attends a higher programme level of education at the School than the one in which s/he was awarded the Scholarship for the best-graduating student.
