Study excellence Discount/Scholarship

General Rules of Discounts/Refunds/Scholarships

  • All discounts/refunds/scholarships under this Regulation shall be fixed at one amount per semester.
  • The School’s Committee for Grants and Scholarships (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) shall be responsible for determining those students and applicants receiving discounts/refunds/scholarships based on this Regulation.
  • The School’s Study Department shall inform the student and the Central Study Department about the discounts /refunds/scholarships awarded by the Committee.
  • The student may appeal against the decision of the Committee in accordance with Article 5(2) of the Code of Charges and Benefits of the University of Pécs.
  • The total amount of financial aid awarded to a fee-paying student may not exceed 80% of the semester tuition fee applicable to that student.
  • The Dean has the right to override the financial aid rates and budgets laid down in this Regulation, taking into account the School’s budgetary position.

Study excellence Discount/Scholarship

Student Study Excellence Discount applies to fee-paying students, its scholarship form applies to Stipendium Hungaricum, Diaspora or Scholarship for Christian Young People scholarship holder students of the School for the active semesters of the students specified below.

Students receiving MNB Excellence Scholarship and students entering the programmes through the central application system (felvi.hu) may not receive this support. Students registering but not appearing (without justification) at professional (educational, scientific, etc.) events organized by the School in a semester may be excluded from the support in the subsequent semester. Master students starting their studies before the spring semester of the 2023/24 academic may not earn this support. 

Student Excellence Discount/Scholarship is offered first in the second semester of studies. Students are eligible for support until their seventh active semester in case of the BSc in Business Administration and Management Programme, their eight active semester in case of the BSc in Tourism and Catering Programme, and until their fourth active semester in case of the master programmes.

Those students are eligible for the grant who, by the end of their last closed active semester, have earned at least the number of completed semesters * 30 credits without recognized credits, provided that no more than two academic years have elapsed between the last completed active semester and the award of the grant.

The maximum amount of the support is € 1,150.

The amount of support is determined at the beginning of the semester based on weighted average of the student's last closed active semester as shown in Neptun, according to the rates set out in the table below. For master students, only those grades are considered at the calculation that are part of the master curriculum.

The eligibility criteria for Student Study Excellence Discount/Scholarship are monitored by the Study Department in the Neptun study system, no student application is needed.
