Dr. András Gyimesi
András Gyimesi graduated from the Faculty with a bachelor's degree in applied economics in 2014, and then obtained an economic analyst (MSc) diploma in 2017. In the same year, he began his PhD studies at the Faculty's Doctoral School of Regional Policy and Economics. During this time, he was continuously involved in teaching probability and statistics. From 2021, he has been an assistant lecturer at the Faculty's Institute of Economics and Econometrics, and from 2024, an assistant professor. He earned his PhD in 2023. His teaching activities in both the Hungarian and English undergraduate programs mainly cover the topics of statistics, econometrics, and data analysis. His main research areas are causal econometrics and the dynamics of rankings, which he applies in various fields. Since 2022, he has been working with the EconNet research group on the analysis of economic, production, and trade networks. Additionally, he has published in the fields of sports economics, labor economics, and macroeconomics.
