Generational differences in the workplace

Júlia Bachmann-Matisa

Settling into a new job is a big challenge for both beginners and experienced workers. How well you can work with colleagues and how well you can work in a team depends on many things, and generational differences have become more and more important in recent times, as there are currently four generations in the labour market (Baby Boomers, X, Y and Z), which poses a significant challenge to companies.

What are the differences in behaviour and values? And what are the generational similarities? Who is satisfied with their job, how do they feel about changing jobs, and what stereotypes exist about the different generations? Are baby boomers really "stubborn" and workaholics? Are ypsiloners driven only by money and career? Are members of Generation X really the most critical? Generation Z can only exist in the online space?

This presentation will explore the characteristics of each generation and look ahead to the future, as members of the "Alpha" generation will soon be in the workplace.
