Language Proficiency Requirements – University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics

Meeting the language proficiency criteria outlined below does not automatically guarantee admission.

Applicants may be exempt from the language examination requirement if they meet any of the following criteria:

• They obtained their secondary education in English in one of the following countries:

  • United States of America

  • United Kingdom

  • Ireland

  • Malta

  • New Zealand

  • Australia

  • Canada

  • Singapore

  • Republic of South Africa

• They hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Individual IB certificates may be considered for exemption from the English test.

When applying, please include:

• Grade 11 results

• First semester grade 12 results (Progress Report November)

• Official predicted grades

Ensure that subject levels (HL, SL, A or B) are clearly indicated.

• They hold Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, or OxfordAQA International Examinations:

  • (I)GCSE + A-levels: student is exempted from the English test.

  • Cambridge, Pearson, and/or OxfordAQA International A-levels with grades A–C provide additional admission points.

When applying, also upload:

• Your IGCSE results; or

• If IGCSEs were not taken, your (pre-A level) secondary school diploma or transcript. 

• They obtained their higher education (BA/BSc, MA/MSc or PhD/DLA) in English. An official proof must be attached.
