iExpo - Student Idea
Competition
Information for Students

What is the iExpo?
The iExpo is an event where, in the form of a reverse job fair, you can showcase the projects, research, and business ideas you’ve developed throughout the semester in various topics — as well as your personal competencies and presentation skills.
The event also provides an excellent opportunity for companies seeking future employees to get to know you and potentially offer internships or job opportunities.
As part of the event, you are required to create a poster presenting your project. Experts will provide feedback and evaluate your work, presentation, and overall project. Short, concise presentations are especially favored.
IMPORTANT: Part of the task is to invite the experts to your booth. Be open, take initiative, and don’t hesitate to approach them!
At the end of the event, the most outstanding students and teams — those who collect the highest scores — will receive scholarships and valuable prizes offered by our corporate partners.

Students collect and analyze data or information using various methods. This includes market research studies, statistical analyses, and any type of research that leads to meaningful conclusions about the issues examined. We welcome projects that emphasize a precise, data-driven approach and present detailed, logical insights.
This category includes projects aimed at identifying and solving specific problems through practical advice and recommendations. Whether it’s analyzing an issue faced by a company or a nonprofit organization, the proposed solutions should be practical and feasible. We’re looking for student projects that demonstrate consulting experience and showcase creative, professional suggestions.
These projects respond to social challenges or community needs. They may include community-building initiatives, programs related to social sustainability, or advocacy projects that require effective communication. The goal is for the project to contribute to the well-being of a community or help address important social issues.
This category is for creative, forward-thinking students who want to present new ideas — whether it’s a startup initiative or a technological innovation. Innovative projects provide solutions to specific problems through new products or services that represent uniqueness. We welcome projects that demonstrate the feasibility and value of the idea.
This category is for students whose projects incorporate artistic elements or design solutions. It includes graphic design works, animations, photography projects, and any kind of creative visual creation. We’re looking for projects that highlight students’ aesthetic sense and creative design abilities, with special attention to detail and visual value.
This category is reserved for projects that do not fit into any of the previous ones. It can be any kind of creative initiative that applies a unique approach or introduces a new perspective. If your project combines several different fields or is something completely unusual and hard to categorize, this is the right place for it.
Important information
Each team will be provided with one cardboard display (size: 1 m × 0.7 m), which you can fill with your own content. This will serve as your exhibition poster, so make sure the project title appears on it! The poster should be eye-catching — let your creativity flow! (If you need inspiration, you can view some examples from previous years HERE.)
You can pick up the boards on the 3rd floor of the Faculty of Business and Economics (PTE KTK), in room B315. (If you bring your own board, please make sure it is also 1 m × 0.7 m in size.)
Each student team must display their poster on a panel or table.
Teams will be divided into different zones, within which you may choose your own spot. It’s a good idea to arrive early — the best places go fast!
On-site registration will take place on the 1st floor from 12:00. There you’ll receive your name badge and a sheet with your team number and name, which should be placed on your table/panel. The sheet will also indicate your assigned zone — once you know it, go find your area and choose your preferred spot.
After this, the iExpo begins at 13:00, when the experts arrive and the pitching starts!
For evaluation purposes, it’s crucial that you be open, confident, and proactive. Don’t hesitate to approach the experts, invite them to your booth, and present your project in a short 1–2 minute pitch!
This year, experts will award unicoin points virtually — if you’re convincing enough, they’ll vote for you on an online platform.
At 15:00, the expert evaluation ends. We’ll summarize the results and announce the winning teams in the Molnár Kálmán lecture hall (Faculty of Law, ground floor, room 018).
In the spirit of sustainability, please bring your own water bottle, as the competition runs from 12:00 to 16:00, including the awards ceremony!
Don’t forget to visit the selfie box on the 2nd-floor staircase landing and take a team photo!
