Information about the application to be reclassified to a state scholarship programme for students under 30, married, with children

As of February 1, 2025, a provision of Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education has entered into force, allowing married students with children under the age of 30 to continue their studies in a state-funded programme in eligible study programmes (excluding postgraduate specialist training courses and partial study programmes). Furthermore, semesters completed under this provision will not be counted towards the period of funding.

If you meet the conditions set out in the legislation, you may submit a request to modify your funding status via the Neptun web interface under the following menu: Administration / Requests / Submit Request, by selecting the request titled "Reclassification Request for Married Students with Children Under 30".

Application deadline: March 14, 2025.

You will be able to access the request form in the system if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • Were born after January 31, 1995;
  • Your level of study is:
  • tertiary vocational programme
  • bachelor’s programme
  • master’s programme (divided or undivided form)
  • doctoral programme
  • Your current funding status is:
  • state-funded or
  • self-funded

You can verify your eligibility for the benefit available to students with children by attaching your marriage certificate and the birth certificate(s) of your child(ren).

The benefit will first be applicable in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
