On 22 November 2018, the Young Leaders Forum brought together students and business leaders to discuss and share ideas and opinions about “Leadership in the Millennial Era” which was the theme of the event.
The flagship forum event combined a motivational keynote speech executed by a millennial executive with a panel discussion with multiple business leaders from various industries.
The objective of the forum was threefold:
1. To foster interaction and create connections between corporate entities and students of the University of Pécs as well as establish ties between companies with the Faculty of Business and Economics and other Faculties of the University of Pécs;
2. To create a professional skills learning platform for students.
3. To create a platform where a robust discussion could be had regarding the current role and impact that young people, especially millennials are currently having and could continue to impose in the various industries as well as how industries are responding and adjusting corporate practices to cater for this emerging cohort.
Attendance to the event was open to all students, academics, faculty alumni, and corporate business professionals. However, the nature of the event meant that it was unsuitable for the event to be advertised or open to attendance by the general public. Instead, the event was shared to University of Pécs students via social media. Students were also invited at the end of academic lecture sessions. ISOBE as well as the Faculty of Business and Economics played a huge role in assisting YLF.
