Norbert Szabó gained his BA degree in Applied Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pécs in 2009 and his MSc degree in Economic Analysis in 2011. He defended his PhD thesis in 2021, in which he examined the economic modeling possibilities of the EU's new regional innovation policy (S3). From 2014, he has been working as a scientific assistant in the MTA-PTE Innovation and Economic Growth Research Group, and participated in several research projects running at the Faculty (TÁMOP, EFOP, TKP, RRF, etc.). From 2016, he has been working as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty, and from 2022, as an assistant professor. His research interests are related to regional economic development and its economic effects and modeling possibilities, specifically in the areas of input-output and general equilibrium modeling. His publications appeared in leading domestic and international journals in these fields, and he participated in several domestic and international research projects aimed at developing regional economic growth models. As an assistant professor, he mainly teaches regional and international economics, and previously participated in the teaching of introduction to economics, microeconomics, economic geography, and multi-sector macroeconomic modeling seminars.
