Biography
Gábor Rappai earned a MSc degree in Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Janus Pannonius University, Pécs, in 1987. He gained his PhD in Economics in 1997 and became a Habilitated Doctor in Economics in 2003. He began his career at the University of Pécs as Trainee and later as Assistant Lecturer. From 2015 Dr. Rappai works as Full Professor. He is the Chair of the Department of Economics and Econometrics. His main research fields are financial time-series data modeling and econometric testing of causalities. From 1998 to 2005, Dr. Rappai served as the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
