It is highly important for us at the Faculty of Business and Economics to help international students to feel at home, to support you during your stay and to provide help with possible difficulties.
Mentoring workshops are availabale for international students from the 3rd week of September held by three of the faculty’s professors who are also professional mentors: Beatrix Lányi, Zoltán Raffay and Norbert Sipos. The workshops will cover three different topics in three moths.
September’s workshop is about Weekdays at the University, touching upon topics such as the Faculty’s basic platforms (NEPTUN, website), oral and written forms of communication at university and managing the semester successfully.
October’s workshop will be about Fitting in - Finding stability in countinouos change. Here students will learn how to deal with cultural differences, who they are able to turn to when problems occur at school or in their daily lives, what kind of possibilities they have at the Faculty to enhance their social life (student buddies, student organizations, social and professional events).
The workshop series’ last topic will be on Study Methods and Techniques in November. Mentors and students will work on self-awareness, study-techniques, stress- and time management, and improving coping skills.
If you are interested, come and register at the International Office, room B131 with our intern colleagues Chen Jinyu and Zhou Yimeng.
