Christmas in the consumer's mind

Christmas is one of the most magical times of the year, but what is it that really gets you in the festive spirit? 

This is exactly the question we were looking for in our joint research with the CoRe lab and Ipsos Zrt.

As part of the festive project, we surveyed 1,000 people who are representative of the Hungarian Internet population, giving us an authentic account of the behind-the-scenes of Christmas preparations.

Quantitative research has shown that it is the Advent period that really brings the Christmas spirit. This period is saturated not only with lights and fragrances, but also with Christmas messages from the media, and for some people, Christmas advertising plays an important role in creating the festive mood. 

That's why the quantitative research was complemented by a neuromarketing study involving an eye camera and face scanning technique, where we tested fresh, crisp Christmas commercials. But what emotions do these ads evoke? Now we find out!
