The Internationalisation Strategy provides an overarching horizontal framework for the School’s entire operation, aligning the international dimensions of the human resource development, education, research, marketing, and societal impact sub-strategies. It supports Objective 4 of the UPFBE Strategy – Improvement of international visibility and recognition – as well as the achievement of the related accreditation KPIs.
Internationalisation is not simply a matter of mobility, recruitment, or networking, but a tool for quality enhancement, competitiveness, and impact generation. Its aim is to ensure that international quality, perspectives, knowledge, and good practices are embedded in education, research, and operations, support continuous development, and generate measurable value in the region and beyond.
This is supported by the internationalisation of curricula, faculty and staff competences, international experience available at home and abroad, a selective and value-based partner network, research collaborations, and knowledge transfer. The strategy links global standards with the regional mission; its implementation, guided by the principles of inclusivity, responsibility, and sustainability, is underpinned by a clear framework of responsibilities and an annual monitoring cycle.
