EconNet Workshop Pécs 2026: Challenges of development and building local resilience in global networks of innovation and production

The fourth EconNet Workshop Pécs brings together scholars working at the intersection of network economics, innovation, economic geography, global value chains, and complexity research. The 2026 workshop focuses on the challenges of development and building local resilience within globally networked systems of innovation and production, with keynote speeches by:

  • César A. Hidalgo, Center for Collective Learning; Toulouse School of Economics; Corvinus University of Budapest
  • Zoltán Elekes, ANETI Lab, ELTE Centre for Economic and Regional Studies; Centre for Regional Science at Umeå University

Beyond the academic program, participants can also experience the unique atmosphere of autumn in Pécs, when the city reveals most of its charm. Applications may be sent to econnet [at] ktk.pte.hu (econnet[at]ktk[dot]pte[dot]hu), by no later than 15th May 2026. Notification of acceptance is due by 1st June 2026.

Attendance is free of charge but linked to registration (registration link is going to be sent upon acceptance).
