Our guests at the spring semester Corporate Talk event were Viola Végh (MOL Group, Insight Lead Expert), Ambrus Halász (MOL Group, Communication Manager), Nóra Szabó (Mastercard, Central European ESG Lead) és Anna Flóra Rácz (Mastercard, Senior Marketing Specialist). At the event, we had an exciting and informative discussion about their joint research, which focused on Generation Z's green anxiety, i.e., how young people view the challenges of sustainability and the future in a world of environmental responsibility.
Innovative research methods
The research was conducted through online journaling and in-depth interviews. Participants shared their personal experiences and thoughts while analyzing their views on sustainability. This approach provided deeper insight into the needs of this generation and the sources of their anxieties.
Guidance for the future
The joint research conducted by MOL and Mastercard has shown that educating and motivating young people plays a key role in promoting sustainability. Emphasizing the importance of small, incremental steps and incorporating ESG considerations—especially social factors—can contribute to achieving long-term sustainability goals. In addition, B2B education supports companies in moving more effectively toward sustainable operations.
The development of sustainable solutions and the promotion of intergenerational dialogue continue to receive special attention, with MOL and Mastercard actively contributing to this effort.
