Symposium at Pécs

The University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics organized a symposium entitled "The role re-industrialization in the prosperity of nations" (TKP2021-NKTA-19) on October 1-2 2025. Within this program, our Team also presented the findings on several topics:

In the morning, Tamás Sebestyén gave a lecture on his joint work with Erik Braun and Zoltán Elekes, titled “Towards resolving the economic complexity puzzle: participation and positions in global value chains jointly explain economic development.” Later, András Gyimesi continued the session with a presentation of his joint work with Erik Braun, Dóra Longauer, and Tamás Sebestyén, titled “The role of overlapping input sourcing structures in shaping systemic risk in global supply chains.” In the afternoon session, lastly, Erik Braun presented his joint work with Tamás Sebestyén about “Hungary’s position in global value chains in the light of reindustrialization.”
