We were delighted to host the IV. EconNet Workshop at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pécs!
It was a great honour to welcome two distinguished keynote speakers, Cesar A. Hidalgo and Zoltán Elekes, whose presentations offered valuable insights into the theoretical foundations of measuring economic complexity and the dynamics of labour mobility.
As internationally renowned researchers rarely have the opportunity to visit Pécs, events such as this workshop are particularly valuable to our academic community. The workshop provided an opportunity for local researchers to engage directly with cutting-edge international research and to strengthen their connections with the global academic community.
The workshop sessions covered a broad range of topics, including economic complexity, networks, innovation, regional development, labour mobility, and resilience. The diverse programme provided a platform for presenting different perspectives and research findings, while also fostering stimulating professional discussions and the exchange of ideas.
We would like to thank all our speakers and participants for contributing to the academic programme and for making the IV. EconNet Workshop an inspiring and engaging event.
