Double degree opportunity for the students of the Woxsen University

Under the agreement made between the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pécs (hereinafter: UPFBE) and Woxsen University (hereinafter: WU), students studying at the WU can acquire an MSc degree in the UPFBE Management and Leadership Programme in addition to their Woxsen University certificate.

In this partnership, UPFBE opened its Management and Leadership MSc programme - currently undergoing the prominent EFMD accreditation process - for those outstanding WU students in the MBA in General Management programme who are willing to apply for a second diploma during their studies. Thus, all participants will have two degrees and at least one from a soon-to-be internationally recognized programme.

The incoming students need to complete 51/57 ECTS at the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics. (Depending on the country of internship)

During the third academic term, between February and May, students must archive 36 ECTS.

The internship must be completed between June and July (6 ECTS).

According to the student's wish, the internship can be completed in India. In this case, the organisation and the internship tasks must be pre-validated by UPFBE.

The thesis development period will be between August and March. During this period, a one-time online thesis development webinar will be held, and students can count on online individual thesis development sessions.

The deadline for submission of the master's thesis will be in April (15 ECTS). The thesis defence will be held online in June, as well as the on-site Graduation ceremony.

Who can apply for the double degree programme?

Those students who have met all necessary preconditions and are willing to study at the UPFBE for a semester can apply.

UPFBE agrees to accept double degree students from the WU MBA in General Management programme on the condition that they:

1. are nominated by WU by a Recommendation Letter from the MBA General Management Programme Director;
2. have reached an average of 7.0 over Term 1;
3. participate successfully in an eligibility interview organized by UP;
4. have the necessary number of ECTS to enter double degree programme (min. 40 ECTS upon successful completion of WU Terms 1 and 2);
5. are able to follow courses in English;
6. pay the tuition fee:5.150 EUR

What kind of documentation do students need for application?

• Copy of BSc degree in English
• Copy of transcripts for all acquired subjects taken at WU proving:
  • you have the time proportionate number of credits and
  • have reached a study average of 7.0 over Term 1.
• Language certificate (if any)
• Motivation Letter (1 page max)
• Recommendation letter from the MBA General Management Programme Director
• Passport
• ID photo
• Professional CV
• Your statement (form can be downloaded from apply.pte.hu) that:
  • all requirements for admission to the programme are fulfilled, and
  • you understand that you can enter the double degree programme only if you successfully complete min. 40 credits of WU in Terms 1 and 2.

Important facts:

• The official language of the institution is English.
• The number of students per year for the training is limited at 5 students.
• A dormitory place is provided.
