The Simonyi Summer Social Entrepreneurship Program 2019 was a huge success.

Nearly 40 students participated in the three-week program, who worked on the regions’s real-life social projects. There were projects that focused on the Villány region, boost the new, package free shop in Pécs, and that helped foreign University of Pécs students to temporarily store their luggage. Teams consisted of young people from different countries (including American, African, Asian and European continent too) with different cultures and mindsets. It is a great pleasure that this year a high school student has joined the program and we hope that some motivated high school students will join the program in the future. The students' professional work was assisted by Zsolt Bedő (Faculty of Economics), Jeffrey Anderson (Ohio University) and Paul Mass (Ohio University).

Besides the hard work, participants had also free time. One of the important element of the program is that the visitors get to know Baranya region and the Hungarian culture. The students took a creative sightseeing tour in Pécs, went a trip to the Villány region, visited Orfű and the Abaliget Cave.
