In recent years, the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pécs has placed great emphasis on developing its teaching and research excellence. In 2023, the achievements of the Faculty are included in several international rankings that focus on the world’s best institutions specialised on economics, or economics trainings.
The EFMD programme accreditation, awarded for another 5 years in February, and the Faculty's continued success in terms of publications and excellence in teaching and student performance have come to their fruition, with two globally significant rankings in higher education.
The University of Pécs has already been included in the Times Higher Education discipline rankings in several areas, and this year, for the first time, the discipline of business and economics has joined them. In addition to mapping the educational performance and the reputation of the institution, the ranking places the greatest emphasis on the scientific publications in the field – the lion's share of these are published by the Faculty of Business and Economics within the UP and are the result of the high-quality academic work carried out at the Faculty.
The QS World University Ranking ranked the world’s universities for the twentieth time. The Management and Leadership Programme of the Faculty of Business and Economics was the only one in Hungary to be ranked among the world's top 200 management master's programmes. The Faculty has earned this prestigious ranking through the continuous development of the programme, in line with its defined strategy, and this is the reason why the Faculty is applying for EFMD accreditation with this programme.
It is also a new success that our School is ranked among the bests by Eduniversal, where UP FBE is among the 400 institutions offering business courses that have ranked 3 palmes.
