Jurica Pavicic is a Croatian academic and educator. He pursued undergraduate and graduate studies in business economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. He earned doctoral degree in 2000 - from the same institution. In 2009, he obtained a second doctoral degree (sociology) from Alpen-Adria University in Klagenfurt, Austria.

Since 1995, Pavicic has been a faculty member at the University of Zagreb, progressing from assistant professor to full professor with a permanent title (2013). His academic journey includes various international training at the University of Kentucky, Leeds Metropolitan University, MIT Sloan School of Management and at other international institutions.

Pavicic served as the chairman of the Department of Marketing (2010-2012) and held administrative roles, including vice-dean (2012-2018) and dean (2018-2022) of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Under his leadership, the faculty received prestigious AACSB (2019) and EQUIS (2022) accreditations. His contributions extend to the University of Zagreb – where he serves as the vice-rector for international and inter-institutional co-operation (2022-).

His research interests encompass marketing, strategy, non-profit organizations, educational management and community sociology. He has published extensively, including co-authored books and chapters with renowned publishers such as Routledge and Palgrave. Notable works include “School Effectiveness and Educational Management”, „Educational Leadership in Policy“ and “Educational Leadership, Improvement and Change.”
