Summer Course: European Culture, Business and Entrepreneurship

Summer Course in Arnhem, the Netherlands from 23 June - 14 July 2018

The course is suitable for all students who are interested in learning more about European culture, entrepreneurship, doing business in Europe and in developing their personal skills. During this short course students will participate in interactive workshops that focus on skills and personal development in both entrepreneurial and general topics. The course consists of modules (which include either (guest) lectures, workshops, company visits or coaching sessions) that take place both on and off campus. Some of the topics covered in the course are:

  • Creative thinking
  • Social entrepreneurship
  • Marketing
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • Lean management
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Agricultural entrepreneurship
  • Personal branding

Admission requirements

The summer course is suitable for 2nd or 3rd year bachelors students.

If you are not a native speaker of English, we advise an English proficiency level equivalent to an IELTS score of at least 6.5 or iTOEFL score of at least 90.

Costs

Students may participate on the basis of exchange or by paying a tuition fee.

Programme fee:

Fee based on exchange (no tuition fee): € 1500

Fee including tuition: € 2500

Both fees include:

  • accommodation and breakfast, 
  • transport from and to Amsterdam Schiphol airport, 
  • transportation between accommodation and campus on week days, 
  • visits and excursions, 
  • welcome and farewell meal and 
  • health & liability insurance.

Credits

The total number of contact hours in this programme (lectures, workshops, excursions and company visits) is 75.

You will need to spend an additional 25 hours on homework, preparation and self study.
