At the end of March 2018 six students and two colleagues from UPFBE had the opportunity to travel to China and gain experience of this countrie’s culture, academic and business life. The costs of the Field School were entirely covered by the faculty’s partner institution, Nanjing Audit University.
The group’s program was varied and spanned over a wide range of activities from museum visits, meetings with Faculty at NAU, listening to presentations on Chinese culture and Arts as well as China’s Economy and Business life, through a visit to the local Shin Ke Xia Cai company manufacturing special spectacle lenses to presentations given by UPFBE students and staff for a large audience of Chinese Business students.
The student presentations covered the topics The University of Pécs and its History (by Zsófia Hendinger and Zsófia Kustra), University life in Pécs - through the Eyes of a Hungarian and an International Student (Krisztina Riszt and Leyla Abbasz) Economic Life in the Baranya region of Hungary (Alexandra Kiss, Dávid Szabó).
The excellently developed and delivered presentations were a great success among NAU students, who came and enquired about Pécs, Hungary and study abroad opportunities at UPFBE.
The group of 8 arrived home with eye-popping experiences and insights on Chinese culture, academic and business life, urban planning and social practices, and we must not forget Nanjing cuisine from this list.
